I engage with both Forestry and Nature Conservation undergraduate students in Forest Ecology, Environmental Management and Fire Ecology, respectively.
Forest Ecology provides the foundation for understanding the relationships and interactions between organisms and their environment. However, in Environmental Management we focus on how forestry decisions, operations, and spatial planning can be managed to minimise environmental impacts and support sustainable forest management.
In Fire Ecology, we explore the role of fire in shaping ecosystems and delve into strategies for managing fire impact on landscapes, balancing ecological benefits, and reducing risks to human and natural resources.
